Thanksgiving 2014

We all gathered for Thanksgiving at SIL2’s house again this year. It was lunch instead of dinner, which I liked because lunchtime is followed by naptime.

Thanksgiving morning I prepped the mashed potatoes

then we packed up the pumpkin & Dutch apple pies (I cheated and bought from Safeway) and headed over to SIL2’s house in Mililani.

We munched on SIL1’s maki sushi and some poke & pipikaula while lunch was being prepped.

This year SIL2 made not one but two beautiful turkeys for our big group,

and her famous cornbread pecan stuffing:

Other items on the potluck buffet line included glazed ham,

Pumpkin crunch,

Green bean casserole, roasted veggies, and so, so much more. We were so sleepy on the way home!

I am so thankful for my family, our health, our warm and cozy home – I couldn’t ask for anything more.
