Game Night

This month’s get together with the girls was a special one, because this time we were joined by husbands and babies for a game night. In honor of the birthday girl, the rest of us brought dinner and dessert.

Salad of Nalo greens, Hamakua tomatoes, onions and mushrooms

The birthday girl loves pasta… so I made 2 different kinds. Rigatoni with a simple garlic tomato sauce

and Linguine with alfredo sauce.

My friend made a beautiful mozzarella appetizer.

For dessert, homemade bread pudding with raisins and pears. Yum!

After dinner the girls kicked the boys’ butts in Taboo, where we learned so much about… UNICORNS! (sorry for the inside joke, but it was too funny. Hubby and I were still laughing about it on the way home). Till next time, ladies!

Oh sorry, yes Nalo greens = short for Waimanalo greens. Very popular in local restaurants and supermarkets, but I guess they’re not known outside of Hawaii. Taboo is my favorite game of all time!

I’m glad that our monthly girls’ night has changed in the previous months to include our growing families. Dinner was delicious, as were the leftovers the next day. Here’s another word…HEARTBURN! The boys’ are never living game night down. My hubby has been talking about a rematch. Bring it on, right ladies?!

LOL is right! Happy b-day and it was so fun to see baby and how fast he’s growing. His speedracer crawling was funny too!
