Back to Basics

After turkeys, hams, pies, cookies, and many holiday meals out, I’ve packed on a few pounds. I can hear my body telling me “no… more… rich foods… need… rest.”  So the holidays are officially over and it’s time to treat my body to a healthy diet again and get back to exercising.

Tonight’s dinner is a lineup of comforting veggie dishes.

Black bean salad with lots and lots of cilantro. A protein-rich dish made with black beans, tomatoes, onion, corn, lime juice, olive oil, cilantro, pepper, garlic salt, and a little cumin.

Simple daikon and konbu nimono

Broccoli and tomatoes with dip

    年末年始にかけておご馳走を食べ続けたせいで私もすっかり太ってしまいました。心も新たに今日からまたウォーキングを開始しましたよ。そして、私も同じように大根の煮物を食べているのでなんだか笑っちゃいました。

      私もおとといからウォーキング・ジョギングを再開しました。大根の煮物はカロリー低くて繊維豊富でおいしいよねー。
