Lunch from Tanioka’s

Sister-in-law #2 (SIL2) drove out from Waipahu to hang out with us yesterday and brought us lunch from Tanioka’s. I’ve actually never been inside Tanioka’s, but SIL2 buys food from there often enough for me to know I love everything they have, especially their fresh ahi poke.

Cone Sushi

Lumpia

Fried Chicken – the Tanioka’s version has a well seasoned crispy skin and best of all, it’s boneless!

Ahi Limu Poke – delicious!

Tanioka’s Seafoods and Catering is an iconic Waipahu landmark for local comfort food and is located on Farrington Highway towards the beginning as you’re headed into Waipahu town.

Just looking at the pictures is making my mouth water! Too bad they’re already closed for the day. Looks like Makena and I will be taking a drive into Waipahu this week. Spending time with family, all the while eating delicious food…what could be better?!

Thanks for your comment Astrid! I heard the lines are always long at Tanioka’s… Hope you’re enjoying your week off with Makena!
