Birthday Lunch at House Without a Key

For my birthday, my coworkers took me to lunch at House Without a Key located in the Halekulani Hotel. The views of the sparkling blue ocean and emerald green grass are just what I needed to brighten my day. There’s a walkway just beyond the restaurant grounds along the beach, so you can watch all the tourists walk by while you’re eating lunch.

My coworker ordered the Organic Spaghetti with Roasted Tomato Garlic Sauce ($15.00), and added on Grilled Shrimp ($10.00).

My other coworker ordered the HWAK Burger ($17.00) loaded with avocado and bacon, served with a green salad. She also ordered a side of fries ($5.00) for us to share.

I decided on the Turkey Club Sandwich ($16.00) which includes a fried egg, also served with a green salad.

This is one of my favorite spots for lunch because of the laid back atmosphere, friendly service, and mesmerizing views. A leisurely lunch here gazing out at sparkling Waikiki Beach is better than therapy. You can also enjoy a daily breakfast buffet in the mornings, and in the evenings, sip their famous Mai Tais while taking in the Hawaiian music and hula performance.

Taro: HWAK stands for House Without a Key, the name of the restaurant.

SIL4?: Thank you for your comment! Actually, you are SIL3, since SIL4 already numbered herself as #4, I guess because she married the youngest brother. Photographing food is hard! But I take your advice and try to catch bright colors.

Er: Yes, that pasta is totally your kind of dish. We can go there again whenever you want!
