My Favorite Sandwich …

… in the whole wide world: Chicken and Pate Sandwich on Croissant ($4.75) from BA-LE. The crunchiness of the cucumber, pickled daikon and carrots, the rich flavor of the pate, and fresh cilantro combine together for an unbelievable experience!

If you like sandwiches, try covenant books in kaimuki. Awesome sandwiches, with super tasty soups.

Wow – what a coincidence. I tried there for the first time today! Review to follow.

I love Bale chicken sandwiches, too. And I can’t believe they’re under $5.
Today, Tai and I had lunch at the Downtown cafe in the Hawai’i State Art Museum. I’ve been to Town on Waialae, so it was nice to stumble upon Downtown accidentally on our walking tour of downtown art galleries. There are two sides: the expensive seating side and the cafe, so we went to the cafe. They have a beautiful combination plate: half a toasted olive tapenade/roasted tomato/goat cheese on foccacia sandwich, a cup of creamy potato soup, an orecchiette/tomato/olive antipasto, and an arrugula salad for $9.50. It was really good.

Wow! That sounds SO GOOD. I gotta go there! What a treat for Tai to have a lunch date with Mommy!
